Lecturer in Acting
The Department of Theatre Arts at Stony Brook University solicits applications for a Lecturer in Theatre with emphasis in Acting. Directing experience would be a plus. Candidates must have an MFA in acting or directing, or equivalent professional experience. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in acting at all levels of the curriculum, as well as other introductory theatre courses. This includes general education courses as well as courses aimed at Theatre Arts students specifically. We are especially interested in applicants who can teach broadly within the discipline as well as a range of acting methodologies. The ideal candidate will have both strong professional experience and demonstrated experience in successful university-level teaching. We encourage applicants to highlight their areas of specialization and techniques.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
MFA (foreign equivalent or higher) in acting or directing, or equivalent professional experience. Significant professional experience. Demonstrated excellence in university-level teaching.
